Inspired by Zhu Yan (朱厌), a mythical creature from ancient Chinese texts such as the Shan Hai Jing, this umbrella embodies the dark majesty of a solitary demon, living in the deep mountains, bringing war and curse.
Zhu Yan, who looks like a giant ape with red fur and fierce eyes, is said to be an omen of war. It is said that he rules the most inaccessible peaks, and that his mere presence scares away beasts.
